GREAT FALLS – At Â鶹ÊÓƵ MSU, Humanities Montana, and Cassiopeia Books are thrilled to be hosting Montana author Ednor Therriault at Heritage Hall on the At Â鶹ÊÓƵ campus (2100 16th Avenue South) on Friday, November 15 at 7:00 p.m. Therriault will be discussing his new book, Seven Montanas: A Journey in Search of the Soul of the Treasure State.
This event is part of Humanities Montana’s Montana Conversations Program. Montana Conversations has been bringing a diverse range of speakers all over the state to share their inimitable knowledge on an array of topics all centered around Montana.
Seven Montanas is a unique look at the distinct regions of our beloved state. While Montana offers diverse and varied landscapes as well as a smorgasbord of industry, history, culture, and world-views held by its residents, there are noticeable differences among the regions that give them each a particular personality. With the fact-finding tenacity of a journalist, the eye of a historian, and the wit of a humorist, Ednor Therriault is a fantastic guide through all the regions of the state that he calls home.
Ednor Therriault’s Montana roots run deep. His great-great-grandparents homesteaded along Douglas Creek in the Flint Valley in the late 1800s, and his grandfather mined for gold in Garnet. Therriault is the author of Montana Curiosities: Quirky Characters, Roadside Oddities, & Offbeat Fun and Myths & Legends of Yellowstone: The True Stories Behind History’s Mysteries.
This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be generously provided by At Â鶹ÊÓƵ MSU. Books will be for sale from Cassiopeia Books.
